Sunny and warm again

Sept 12-14, 2011, Lake Guntersville Fishing Reports – Trip report for Monday and Tuesday with clients from West Alabama and Kohler, WI. Neither day was anything like last Friday, but that’s the way Guntersville is fishing right now. Monday, my trip was geared towards tournament prep and Tuesday I was part of a corporate trip out of Waterfront. Both days we had a top water bite all day long! Catching is starting to pick up and we noticed a real improvement after the rains last week. We found fish holding up in scattered grass all day, some of our best fish came in 3-5 FOW with scattered grass close by and on road beds with muscle shells on them. Most fish where in the 2-3.5 pound range with several 4 pound fish in the mix and numbers being caught the last two days are holding a daily average of 30-45 fish; with the vast majority of them in the 2-3.5 pound range. There are several schools of bass roaming the lake has increased and which can drastically increase your numbers, if you locate one of them. Water temps have come up a little to 75-79 degrees with the bluebird skies. Our better fish came on Assassinator buzz baits, www.assassinatorbaits.com (Slam’ in Guntersville Red) and Tightline Football Head Jig’s (Black/Blue and Guntersville Special) and t-rigged OL’ Monsters, and top water baits. The frog/rat (Elgrande Sapo/Ribbet style frogs) is improving with cooler water temp’s and the fish start to feed up for the winter! I have a few days available in September and I’m taking reservations for October and November! Make your reservations now for some great action on Guntersville, Nickajack or Tim’s Ford. We supply all fishing gear, lures at no additional cost you and 110% dedication to making your trip successful. “Let’s go fish’ in”
