Windy with heavy clouds

Sept 15, 2011, Lake Guntersville Fishing Reports – Shannon and Melinda from South Alabama joined me this morning for a short trip out of Waterfront. The ladies had a top water bite all morning. Catching was a little slow today because of the wind and cold front, but the quality of fish improved. We found fish holding up in scattered grass, some of our best fish came in 3-5 FOW just off the mats. Most fish where in the 2-3.5 pound range with three in the 4 to 4.5 pound range in the mix. They managed 2 good limits of fish before calling it a day around 11am. There are several schools of bass roaming the lake has increased and which can drastically increase your numbers, if you locate one of them. Water temps dropped a little to 68-74 degrees. Our better fish came on Elgrande Sapo/Ribbet style frogs. We also caught fish on Assassinator buzz baits, www.assassinatorbaits.com (Slam’ in Guntersville Red), t-rigged OL’ Monsters, sammy’s and spooks . The frog/rat should really fire up in the next two weeks with cooler water temp’s and as the fish start to feed up for the winter! I have a few days available in September and I’m taking reservations for October and November! Make your reservations now for some great action on Guntersville, Nickajack or Tim’s Ford. We supply all fishing gear, lures at no additional cost you and 110% dedication to making your trip successful. “Let’s go fish’ in”
