What's going on with the slam rules? Are two bluegill or another panfish and a bluegill going to be accepted?

The rule for the crappie is that two bluegill can be weighed in one for the needed and the other for a substitute as the crappie. This is the only fair way as most, not all there is exceptions bluegill are smaller than crappie.

I got a few bluegill today.
Here is one of them. This should put me in third for the slam.
7 inches

This is a Heron that I saw the other evening when I was fishing.

Slam- 7 inch bluegill + 8 inch bluegill + 17 1/2 inch largemouth = 32 1/2 inches

Man we spent most of the day on Rodman today, and I promise you all we caught were this bass's little borther's and sister's. I mean we caught 9 bass, and none was over 11" Oh well, maybe next time We do need to meet up a Wildcat within the next couple of months You know what I did this year 2006

Default Not a Record, But 52 in 4 hours.

Fished our private lake Sunday after church for 4 hours with my friend James (LightTackle). Nothing big, but he caught 21 and I got 31. We got a combined 26 in a trolling blitz in the last 45 minutes. We put on big fat raps and trolled deep to try for a big one. But many were in the "Rodman Rob State Record" category . James caught the biggest of the day, only about 2 1/2 lbs - but he got it on this double!

Default Friday 1-05 on White Pelican Lake

Now I know why they named it this. Our "snowbirds" are white pelicans! Pretty windy this afternoon, so I mostly trolled. Got 21 in 3 hours. Biggest about 3 pounds. Had a drag burner pull off right before it hit the surface .
