Weightless,skipping under docks fished slowww and get ready..I had one take off and knowing it should happen i was ready for the hook set,well the perch let go and i and the rod went for a swimm.I have not set the hook that hard since..TR should work great.

Circle hook in the nose of the fluke add allot of action. Dont set the hook, just reel in when you feel the weight.

Another is to rig the fluke like a grub with the hook exposed out the back. Increases hookups. If you throw around wood, it also increases snags.

I fish a Super Fluke on Tex Posed 3/0 EWG hook nunweighter as i want to work it slowly over the tops of weeds. I've also tried them with a Gami 1/0 Drop Shot hook but the Fluke seemed to roll over all the time.

anyone ever try them on a light 1/16 oz jig/head/shaky head. I tested one in a bucket the other day and it seemed to have much better action than one rigged with a EWG hook.

I might get booed, but I think the Bass Assassin brand has a lot better action than the fluke. Maybe it is just a confidence thing, but I just like the action better. I have never fished them with a weight. I like to take a 3/0 straight shank hook, and I will bury the eye of the hook as deep as I can in the bait before it comes out in to the hook pocket. It brings the weight further to the back and makes the bait lift its head and skip out of the water a lot easier when retrieved. I also always run my hook all the way threw and let it lay flush on the top of the bait.

I also like to fish them unweighted on a 3/0 EWG hook.

i have fished them on texas and c-rig but most of the time i fish them weightless with a swivel up front.... i can kill fish with it weightless.... i know a pond in Florida where we will just troll the bank and throw the flukes at cover and let it sink and then twitch it back....... this is dynamite
