Their ramp at the marina , unless its changed, is a joke! you swing around a five car parking lost and launch down a ramp that is steep at heck and only about as long as the trailer. Then you go back out of big bear and hang a left on the road and the parking and state ramp are just a hundred feet down the road. If you have bad brakes dont use the marina ramp lol
the state ramp is an old parking lot with one or two lanes that are long and about 45 degree angle to the lake, pretty easy to launch, just kinda sucks that you have to pay for trailer storage...but in our campground has its own launch ramp, so no worries about that..c rig what number we in now ? |

JB, what's thge best way to get there coming down towards cinci on 75 from Toledo? We were thinking of taking 71 to Louisville, and then over to Big Bear. I know you said it's easier going through Indiana. Any directions? or a mapquest/ google map?

We're finishing up the packing. Both of us poor suckers still have to work tomorrow, so we'll be late coming in. List your campsite #'s on here so I can find you at 11 or 12 tomorrow night...if I ain't sleeping', ain't NOBODY sleepin'...
Kory, BB, you guys bringing a selection of jigs with you? We could do some unbiased field trials with both of them and see which one rules...ThunderStruck or Cabin Fever...

Well, if anyone sees me pulling in looking lost and wants to flag me down, I'll be in a white Dakota, pulling a silver Tracker Avalanche. It sounds like most are in the campground, but there doesn't appear to be a parking lot at the campground ramp. I hope I don't have to leave my rig unguarded over at the main ramp and hoof it over to the campground to find folks. Any extra parking along the sides of the road over in the campground?

So heres the deal. I hitched the boat up yesterday. I was looking at it this evening, and decided that I couldnt sleep. Time to start the trip now!
So, I did. I just got off mobile bay 10 minutes ago. Who would have thought the first fish of this event would come at 9:00, wendesday on mobile bay? Well, not much makes sense with any of us I guess. 18' Redfish If I thought it would keep, this would go into the fish fry pot Little trout, guess they've spawned I do most of the driving tommorow, will see you guys on friday.

Well it's 440 in the morning and pouring rain. The northern half of the system of storms that's going to move through the KY lake area is already hitting here. We've got a sever storm watch and may wait will the rain dies down a bit to leave since we don't have a travel cover for the boat.. But it does look like we'll be driving in the rain all day. Ugh...
Everyone have a safe trip, and we'll see ya down there. BB

Denny n me will head out in about an hour, we'll take seventy five to cincy to loiusville to western ky pkway to purchase pkway to benton. Probably be there at two thursday afternoon, he drives a grey chevy silverado and pulls a bass tracker. Nofearengineer once you pull in big bear you can stop at the office and see where ppl are staying in condos or cabins that are near the ramp, or the campground, if it hasnt floated away LOL
