i have some more pics on my camera i will try to get on here when i get a chance, including another big crappie that woody caught. i was really impressed and the size of some of the crappie this lake yielded. i knew it was a big bass factory but i never heard a word about it being a good crappie lake.

I'm glad someone got a pic of my smallie, since ours didn't turn out very good. Plus, it was a lot darker when we caught it. oh, that was my first smallie too. Sad ain't it. I live right next to Lake Erie and I catch my first smallie at KY lake.

For me, the trip really represented an opportunity to cut a swath through the south. Over this time I was able to visit Pickwick Lake, Shiloh Battlefield, Big Bear on Kentucky lake and the get together, the family roots in clarksville tn, huntsvegas, lake guntersville and lake jordan earlier today. Here are pics fromt he entire odyssey.

Some of the fish I caught waitin to leave Sheffield bluffs, tennessee river (pickwick lake) This battery was at the center of fighting at Shiloh, aiming at the infamous "Hornets nest". It was at the time the largest amount of artillery ever assembled on the north american continent. The water was way up, this is the back of bear creek on KY lake. Thats a nice bass! She earned it. And thats a great first smallmouth. Perfect coloration. Hehe not so bad myself. 19" lmb caught on a brush hog flipping in 3 feet of water. The view from the point. Campsite OK this is guntersville lake now. Close to last years get together. I didnt do any good here, bluebird skies, high muddy water, wind, very cold water for the season... This is the start of Jordan lake below mitchell dam. I hit this on the way back to the gulf coast. My last fish of the trip, caught at Jordan lake slow rolling a spinnerbait
