for me it seems like on clear water the bass get really tight 2 cover so i use try2 use pinpoint accuracy 2 get my lures right in the fishes face and on dirty water i normally swim spinnerbaits by the cover because the bass will often suspend a foot off of cover.

More natural bait, and the lightest line you can get away with in clear lakes, more flashy, and heavier line in dirtier wtaer.

Little ike since we are both michiganders here. From my trial and error alot of the conventional methods ie jigs spinners and buzz baits dont perform very well in our lakes. Id stick with wave worms tikki sticks or similar go with natural colors like baby bass or dark colors in the clear in dark i would go with tikki bamboo stick the color is sweet potato pie its black and orange swirl. Ive also had some good luck with weighted lizards. Also try creature baits like a wooly grub. I texas rig them all. Also for early morning and late evening try a hula popper or a hedon torpedo.
