Guys, got a problem: I have a 24V 71 lb thrust 5 speed Motorguide that today stayed on speed 3 even when I turned it up to speed 4 or 5. I'm thinking I'll have to replace the speed control switch. Opinions?

Reb ole buddy before you replace get some electrical contact cleaner spray and give the control a good spraying while rotating the control. Build up on the reostat will cause this if it hasnt spun the control. If it has you gotta replace.

The Trolling motor Company here in town switched mine over for Half the cost of a new motor. Now I am not saying that my problem was everyone elses Just that a worst case senario is not so bad as to have to replace one.
