present to myself
i went to gander mtn today and left without anything. i was there to get a lightning rod but they didn't have a 7' mh rod. i did it i finally beat the dang monkey. then my wife and i went to eat at outback. somehow the monkey cooked my food and messed it all up so after sending our food back twice the manager came out and said he was buying our food. (yeah extra money) so then on the way home the car just sort of drove back to gander mtn. on its own, where i bought a st. croix triumph 7' mh fast action rod with the money i saved from outback for 69.95. well so much for beating the little devil this time.

where is gander mountain around here?!? didn't know we had one close by. you dawg, ya gots to tell me these thangs man. glad you got a great deal on a nice rod.

War Eagle, you will love that rod, I have the exact same one, the Triumph's has a very good feel. I use mine to fish the bottoms.

i plan on trying out differnt lures to find what i like it for. not sure what kind of lure it is built for but then again i usually don't go by the norm when fishing.

Right off the east bound lane on 20 in Alabama. I used to stop there on the way to Gatlinburg.

tried it out today and i love it. i used it for a small lead head and a hula grub. then i thought i would see if it would cast a weightless wacky worm and i was impressed for a mh rod it flung as far as i needed. thank you mr. bait monkey
