Melting soft plastic together

I'm thinking about cutting 2 different senkos laterally and melting them together. Would this work, and what is the best way to do this? Thanks and good fishin

yes it would work. I made a frog from four flukes once... anyhow, just cut it, and use a lighter from a relatively far distance. let the flame just lick the bait a bit until it looks like the edge is shining, then you can stick it together.
alternatively, kevin reccomended pro soft bait glue for doing things like this as well. Just glue it together, and it'll hold

Get some mend-it and you can put together all kinds of combo's and even repair torn baits . You can get it at a lot of online tackle shops

Weld them. I wrap a copper wire around the tip of my soldering iron, leaving a working end sticking out a couple of inches. You can cut and or weld worms. I repair mine a couple of times, if they aren't torn up too badly.

Ya, it works good! You can make some good stuff that way! I like to use soft bait glue better than melting though, but, it personal opinion!

i think the glue would work but i know for a fact that the lighter thing is really difficult to do but i may have done it wrong i tried with a brush hawg and a lizard it was i big failure lol

I use a pencil soldering iron from Wal Mart automotive....under 5 bucks with a piece of copper wire the diameter of pencil lead wrapped three times around the iron tip and sticking off the end about 3/4 inch. Pass the two surfaces to be joined over the wire or the fatter barrel of the iron just behind the tip at the same time for welding. On bigger pieces I use the barrel, the smaller pieces and repairing tears I use the wire. If welding, be sure to use good ventilation....fumes are nasty.

i ripped a tail off a money minnow before i ever used it and super glue worked fine
