I have heard that rationale, Dom, and it makes some sense...it still seems a bit odd is all.

Of course, there's the other side of the coin, where you tell everyone he's dead, and then you take him to the terrorist equivalent of Area 51, to live a long, painful life, never to be seen again.

Whatever happens, I doubt we'll ever know the 100% truth. I just find the timing very suspicious.

I don't trust anyone in DC, I do trust the military. I would think that the military would have more respect to their brothers and sisters who have died in this long engagement than to lie.

I saw a video on youtube this morning. The dude was rambling about if it was the right thing to do to kill osama, then turned around and praised Obama for doing in 3 years what Bush couldn't do in 8. People like this really make my skin crawl and frankly scare the pee outta me. They have no clue as to what or who actually did it. The Prez has very little to do with things other than to authorize the mission. 99% of the same intelligence people that had been working on it when Bush authorized it were working and using info gathered while both the idiots were in office found him, and the military, SEALS, did it.

Sorry, People that think like this and actually are not embarrased to say it really irritate me.

I agree that Obama had very little to do with this mission. He did authorize it but unless I am wrong, that is pretty much the extent of his involvement in Osama's death. But if you heard him give his speach lastnight he was talking about how he gathered the intelligence, and he waited till the time was right before striking. Hell it sounded like Obama himself went over there and killed Osama. Just another example of Obamas arrogance.

The whole thing sounds a bit fishy to me, especially since they said today it was proven the body was Osama from DNA testing. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but I though DNA testing took more than a couple hours. And then feeding him to the sharks ASAP if you will, hmmmmm something aint right.

Not gonna disagree with that but....if the mission had failed...if someone else had been killed cuz Osama was vacationing in France, wouldn't we be putting the blame on Obama, since he authorized it?

Osama is either dead, or in a place he will never get out of. Either way works for us. On the radio this morning, tons of people were calling in saying the guvmint is making it all up. Shows how many illogical people live around me.

Your right, but I think that is part of the job. If things go bad your butt is on the line, if they go well it's a good job for whoever accomplished the task at hand. I just think that Obama patted himself on the back a little too much. But I also agree that either way Osama is gone and America is happy about that. But I don't think it made us any safer than we were before he got killed, there are too many nut jobs waiting to take his place.
