				 | Disappointing lunker

Got out to lake mills today, super bright and hot out so we trolled spinnerbaits over some deep lake grass humps. First fish was a small 1 1/2. Next thing I know, I thought I hooked into a log, but then it surfaced and was a ginormous lunker. It looked like it was in the a 12-14 range. Pulled it in the boat and looked at it, it was far too skinny for a bass that size. It was one of the better fish I've caught measured at over 25". But it was only like a 9, 9.5 if I was lucky. Now I know some of you are probably thinking what the heck am I talking about, but if you saw this thing you would know it should have had at least 2 or 3 more pounds of chunk on him if not more. Oh well, we landed a few more bass in the 3-4lb range so in all it was a good day, but that would've been my biggest bass ever if it wasn't so dang skinny.

caught a 26" bass post spawn, weighed 6lbs so I know what you're saying. They say a 24" bass typically weighs about 8 lbs.
