Howdy all . I found the site recently after returning to my roots of bass fishing. Since the price of fuel had gottin out of hand I have been making fewer trips to the coast and more trips to the lake . A trip to Rockport, Texas was costin about 120 bones just in the truck haulin the boat. My friend and I have been having quite good success on a local river lake throwing tops, wackies and sweet beavers. I have read alot of good posts and the info has reinforced many of my strategies. Since we throw lures exclusively at the coast chasing trout, reds and flounder the transition has not been to tough. The one thing I have noticed though is fishing for bass is like fishing in the winter in the salt. Gotta slow it down. |
