Pflueger. The President is a excellent reel for most applications. The Supreme is a little more versitile as it has a magnetic spool brake, which makes fine tuning the reel for lighter baits simple. There are two things I don't like the President for. One is flipping, I use a Shiamano Scorpion Quickfire - the Japan version of the Castaic because I really like the flipping thumb bar. The other is deep cranks - as the Pflueger reels are only available in 6.3:1 ratio and I like a lower ratio reel for that. I would really like Pflueger to make their reels available with various ratio's (yes like Shimano).

i use a trion round with a 5.2 to 1 for cranks.the trion lp is available in a 5.2.
