Default Got Soaked!

Went out today after sunrise?..its so dark and overcast its like dusk for the 3rd day...anyways, got the boat out and the shad are flipping everywhere, air temp is 57, drizzle NE at 10, and dark ashell out...
Had a PopR tied on, rebs spinnerbait on another speed reel, and a yamamoto creature on my stick....oh yea, and a Xrap on another 6-6MH..
My strategy today(on the way) was to throw the spinnerbait, heck it worked just the other day like nobodies biz....but after a couple hundred cast , nothing..SO..I figure todays conditions were fall pattern, and started to target bait fish flipping , started out jerking the xrap.
As you know I am a big fan of the rattling rogue, and have purchased plenty of xraps, but not impressed with them in comparison..
I checked out the shallows, which were choked out with hydrilla, and started working the inside edge, where the breaks were, still nothing...
got over some deeper water and a nice 17 inch bass nailed the xrap..Now thats what I'm talkin about! Got it into the boat and when she did a 'bellyflop' on the deck, the f/n xrap came out and nailed ol JB's right fore finger with two trebs!.... looked at the fish an goes..You Win suckah rofl...
threw the bass back in and dug the xrap off my finger, and kept casting...but saw so many shad flipping I got out the PopR and started chuggin....it was drizzling really good now, and instead of straight down it was more like a 45 degree angle hitting inside the ear, but still not to bad..
nailed a 16 inch bass on the popR and swung her into the boat, and the lure flipped out of its mouth, this time I ducked rofl..
Spent the next couple of hours throwing a short armed buzzbait(what a piece of crap it is, its going in the trash),
the zara spook, no blow ups, then pretty much got rained out and just now got home to dry off..
Tomorrow denny and me are going back north, hope this east wind bullcrap
doesn't make it too hard to catch em!

I got invited to my sisters inlaws lake house today, for crappie season, and we might go for some striper, and largemouth also. Last week, the mom, who has never fished before, caught a 22.5'' lm, on a lure.
