Default Ironman, his step dad and DEAD lake

I had the pleasure Saturday of being able to meet one of our younger members on this site First off I must say he's a heck of a young guy who was a pleasure to have in my boat. His step dad was also a great fellow, and I look forward to fishing with them again, and maybe hunting, that is if I can get past my fear of the snakes they see hunting rotfl. Well we met at Bull Creek which is the creek that feeds Dead lake(good name lol), which is connected to Crescent lake. I had fished this lake before, but it had been awhile ago. Some of the old timers here might remember my scare with the biggest gator I've ever seen a couple of years ago while down here fishing during the winter with my dad. I faced my fears, and fished really close to this spot again with them Unfortunately I wasn't able to put us on any bass that would bite, we fished from about 2:45pm till dark and only caught a few mudfish I felt bad, but it's just the way it is on a lake you don't know well, and the water temps here. The water temps were between 87-85 degrees STILL, and the bass were just chilling I guess, not like that surprised me though. I wish I could have helped them better, and hopefully next time we'll get on some fish. They both were pretty good with their rods and reels, and I was pleasantly surprised about that I hope to take them out to Wildcat, where I know the lake a lot better, and feel confident I can put some bass in the boat for all of us. I'm not a guide, and still learning all of these waters myself, but that's part of the enjoyment for me, is to figure out where the bassin holes are at on each lake. Again it was enjoyable, and I will be happy to fish with them again. Once again I met a nice guy form this site, while doing what I love Bass fishing
