And the Eagles lost to Tampa Bay because of a 62 yard field goal. I think 63 yards is the record but I honestly believe that Tampa Bay's field goal (I forgot the name of the kicker), could have gone for 65 yards.

63 is the NFL record. The college record is actually longer, 65 yards, set by Martin Grammatica of K State I believe.

The receivers are improving. The Pats never put up very big numbers... except in the wins column. |

Should be a good game against Minnesota. Colts vs. Broncos should be a REALLY good game. Best offense vs. best defense. Also, Denver is nearly undefeatable at home. |

And it was a good game. 34-31, and guess who kicked the winning field goal. Some surprises yesterday too... who expected the Raiders to beat the Steelers? Patriots look to beat Minnesota tonight. Vikings are certainly a good team and the Pats will have to execute, balancing the running and passing, and some defense wouldn't hurt either. Hopefully the Pats will be the first to beat the Colts next weekend... just keep running the ball against the Colts defense until they get tired, then start firing downfield at Chad Jackson and Ben Watson. Corey Dillon, Laurence Maroney, and Kevin Faulk should be able to total 200 running yards against the Colts. Then the Pats defense will need to shut down the Colt's running game and pressure Peyton Manning with their front seven, and try to create some turnovers. Easier said than done, of course. Obviously they are both good teams and it is hard to predict who will win. Both teams will use their strengths to try and exploit the other team's weaknesses. |

[ Some surprises yesterday too... who expected the Raiders to beat the Steelers? I did!!! I have nothing against the Steelers but Big Ben just isn't himself lately. I wonder if last week's concussion complicated prior issues that developed as a result of his motorcycle accident. |

I think Woody Paige put it best. In 2004 and 2005, Ben's only job was not to make mistakes. With the great running team, defense, and offensive line, all Ben had to do was make some plays and not make mistakes. But now he has a much bigger role, and his true playing abilities are coming out. He's by no means a bad quarterback, but he isn't a Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, or Drew Brees. |

Notre Dame has pretty much blown its shot at the championship. Where are the Colts and Patriots fans? Usually by this point in the week we are trash talking, hehe. |

Perhaps the turnovers were due to them trying to play catchup the whole game It was a good game, but the Colts were the better team that day. Their run defense is bad, but they get you behind, and then you have to pass, and they have a pretty good pass defense Think about this. The Colts beat Denver at Denver, they just beat NE at NE, they beat the Giants at NY, they beat the Jags at home(jags were 2-0 at that point). They have had some close calls, but they've played some really good competition from my perspective. Give them some credit will ya They are the only undefeated team left, and they have had a tough road just to get there Lizards
