A LV500 is a rattletrap bait that Lucky Craft makes. They are a sweet rattle bait. I was letting it settle on the bottom and ripping through the grass and rock. They cost about 15.00 bucks a piece but IMO worth every penny!!!

Cranky-all Lucky Craft baits are $15 and up. Outstanding baits, though.

indeed: http://www.landbigfish.com/tacklestore/search.cfm can't wait till i get a job and i can actually afford to try some of those out. But my reason for asking was because I'm wondering what makes em so expensive. Once i figure out everything about it i want to see if i can mak a cheap copy I tried with megabass but they use such advanced stuff, like internal shifting balancers n stuff.. too complicated for my 13 year old mind

I would personally go w/ a 12ft jon. Nice fish deacon, looks like those lucky crafts are worth the price, but I cant afford the at the time, and I still love my Ratltraps, and DTs. |

Skeeter...... Ok if you dont want to fish with anyone else and want a portable light weight way to get on the water I reccomend a kickboat. Now kick boats/floattubes are great if you dont have and bad critters to prevent that. Crocs...snakes....pirahhna(lol). There are a ton of way to rig a kickboat or a float tube. I have a rod rack that will hold 8 rods. I also have a trolling motor mount with a deep cycle battery and a 50lb thrust trolling motor on it. Having a motor on it does require(in california) to be registered through DMV. If you wanted to do it the old fashioned way you use the oars and flippers for movement. I conat got very far very fast but I am incredibly detail oriented because of which. Makes you slow down and pay attention to details... Here is a few websites to help you look for some boats that you might like... www.waterskeeter.com www.outdoorengineering.com Also look at these 2 sites too..... www.calfishing.com and www.scbbbc.com These IMO are some of the better boats on the market. If you have any other questions....Feel free to ask! |

I can stand up in my 14ft jon, with my dad in, and he could probably stand up too, but he doesnt want to. As you can tell by the pics, were not small people. If you take out the benches, and put a front and bakc pedestal in, youd have plenty of sitting, and standing room. You could also fish bigger waters, if you wanted to, with a 10hp motor or somethng a lil bigger.

Skeeter, It depends on the width of the boat and your balance on if you can stand up. I have a 10' Jon boat that is about three feet wide and it isn't that stable but i can stand up and am not phased but i have good balance. My buddy has a 12' that is about four and a half feet and you can stand up comfortably with two people and not worry about tipping.

Lizards...how are ya bro? Yeah i havent been around much cause I have been fishing more than I have been on the Puter. You will notice come early spring...summer and fall Im not around much but in winter I hibernate like a bear. So i will be around more with the changing of seasons....So far this year I have 80+ days on the water and trying to get to 100 before the weather turns to nasty!!!! PigNJig...The reason i didnt tell you the color of my LV500 is that I think that color is a relative term. I think what might work out here on the left coast(in terms of color) might not be the same forage based colors that you would use. Bt for arguements sake I was throwing 3 different colors till i found the one they liked the best....Colors were Chartruse Shad...Aurora Craw...and Golden Shiner. They really liked the golden Shiner the best. |
