70 bucks to kill... Baitmonkey on my back

hey guys! i have 70 bucks to spend, and I'm really feeling like getting another combo. January is my birthday so my budget will be refilled, then is christmas. I just want to blow this cash on a good combo. Spinning only please. I don't have any medium heavy rods (all mediums) so maybe i should get one. I have an ugly stik medium, st.croix avid medium, and some decent rod i got at a flea market for 3 bucks. Reels i have a waaaaay too heavy shimano stradic and an old abu garcia cardinal that is starting to stop up. So i gotta spend this cash on a nice combo. more than likely I'll stick the reel on my avid, but i want another good rod anyway... Can't feel too much on the ugly stik. Thanks!

how about an abu garcia cardinal-$30 and a berkely lightning rod in 6'6'' mh.that should be around $70. if i were you,i would save up some more money and get this

Save your money and put it with your Christmas fund and stuff it under your mattress, then in January, once your birthday hits and you've got even more money and hopefully by then you will have narrowed your vision to a particular nice outfit that will be with you for the long haul and you will be able to buy what ever you want, not be budgeted. true... But i doubt my mom would let me spend a lot of money even if it is my own. The top is most likely 100... She still doesn't understand why i need any more gear. If i do save up enough, I want another Avid or a kistler and a nice reel. Reel I was thinking Daiwa. But January is when i turn 14, which means i can get a job. And more money means more gear

Minimum wage is around 7 bucks right now. so if i work 3 times a week for 8 hours a day, i can make about 150 bucks a week.

The arrogant SOB typed a thread on another site challenging me to fishing strictly jigs for best weight of 5 fish on my lake of choice for $1,000.00. When I accepted the challenge and told him the lake I chose to fish, he changed the rules and said it had to be a well known major fishery like lake Champlain, or the Patomac river. No doubt I would have really gave him a run for his money on the lake I chose, had he been stupid enough to accept.I really think he tried to scare me off with the $1,000.00 bet.That in a nut shell is why I will never buy anything from Jason Cuda.I am sure he is a nice person, It doesn't change the fact that I will never buy anything from him.

Good luck finding a job at 14..... They like you to be 16+. Go head and buy a baitcaster, learn how to use it and go from there.

I actually got 2 spots picked out. Shouldn't be that hard cuz one is a sort of tutoring center i went to for like years.

I will most likely never touch another Pleuger in my life. Especially their spinning reels. My dad bought a 90$ Pfleuger combo, and the reel broke, he got a new one, and it broke again, same thing! He bought a Daiwa reel, put it on the Pfleuger rod, and its now a good combo. For Reels, go with Quantum, or Daiwa, and rods go with a St Croix, All Star, Falcon, Fenwick, BPS, GM, Cabelas, Quantum, Daiwa, or Shimano.

My redfish guide let me fish with his, in MH, and it was probably the best spinning combo I've used.

jig fishing? That technique is suposed to be really hard and land big bass. Ok, I guess i will try it if it works in the cold. Slow presentation?

The only techniques that are hard are one's you don't try, or give a 1/2 hearted attempt, then give up, and yes, very slow.
