Default on the water finally

Me and ole bassin bandit finally got out the water for a few hours today. Sunny and about 65 with the wind blowing like 30 mph, made fishing no fun but still we got to be out there. The boat ran great and the trolling motor foot control tray I just installed worked great. By the way no fish in the boat today but still enjoyed it.

Gotta tell ya I'm jealous. Fish or no fish, it feels good that first time out after a long winter. Things are still frozen solid here. Hopefully in a few weeks I can get out too. Sounds like your going to have a fun year with your boat. Enjoy.

Congratulations on getting on the water. I'm in northeast Ohio and we're having either snow, ice or sleet all the time so it will be awhile before I get on the water. I don't know of anything I look forward to more and that includes everything. Good luck this season.

Unhappy

I'm jealous of you guys down south. We just got hit with the largest snowstorm of the year. It's going to be a long time before this stuff melts. In the meantime CATCH ONE FOR ME!

Northern Brethren, I can imagine that ya'll's recent snow fall is pretty demoralizing. But, there's a blessing in that curse- A good part of the SE is still suffering under a drought. There's a good many of us that will be unable to slip a boat in the water after the winter/spring rains quit unless there's a whole lot of rain to fill the lakes up completely. I feel for ya'll wishing for spring, but maybe ya'll could send some of that water down this way? Here's hoping spring comes to you soon!

Bama, I was lead to believe that something like 1/2 of the lakes down there are too short for boats. Is that right? Most of the power generating lakes here are finally at full pond or close (for now), but the reservoirs are still low. Our local water tank is 16 feet low. The boat dock looks like a ski slope. it's a good time to scratch out some pictures of the cover and structure, though!
