Hand gun advice
I maybe in the market for a small hand gun to load snake shot in for use with my inflatable pontoon boat or bank fishing in "ugly" areas. I don't want to spend a lot since it will only be used in the most dire situations. Any suggestions or ideas?

Around how much can I expect to pay for either one of those guns? New or used?

Couldnt find the exact gun I was looking for but this is close enough.
http://www.ableammo.com/catalog/prod...ducts_id=82978 can double as a snake gun, or home intrusion prevention. A bit cheaper than a ruger with more firepower. Our local pawn shop carries these double barrelled with a black finish for around 100 bucks. |

I think the .410 is the best for snakes when you are in an inflatable boat and pretty darn vulnerable to a wounded snake. The .410 will do the trick and you can go back to fishing.

i own more than a few handguns. the problem with that type of gun is you need to check the laws in your area. some states do consiter that gun a weapon of mass destrution. because you can load it with buckshot and it has the short barrle.think sawed off shot gun..again i state check your local laws.
this is my prefured snake wacker loaded with rat shot it is VERY effective.. http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/Large...aspx?sku=21142 zooker
