"Saving Grace" episode featuring The King
College football approaches!
In case you missed The King on TV last night... http://awfulannouncing.blogspot.com/...tzer-that.html I heard that Mack Brown (Yoo Tee) wanted to be on the show but he wouldn't stop clapping...all the lights kept turning on and off. Mark Mangino (Kansas U.) was tested but tried to eat the cameras. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AZ2KZoE_io Mike Gundy (OSWho?) could only remember one line;"I'm a MAN! I'm Forty!" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SkKch-CAlgM Mike Leach (Texiz TCeh) stole all the scripts, thinking they were OU playbooks. They hired a medium to bring back Woody Hayes (Ohio State. Lost to Barry at Columbus in the game featuring "The Kick".) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cbjD8QWlKtU Woody (RIP) appeared OK but slugged Hotty...errr, HOLLY Hunter. (At the same season's end, in a bowl game; Woody attacked a Clemson player who'd just intercepted OSU's last-gasp pass. He was fired that night...sad, just sad.) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wEVJyf0ft3I Darrell Royal (Tee Yoo, retired) auditioned but kept screaming *"Hot air balloon practice spy!" at The King. Dennis Franchione (A&M canned him and got a real coach.) tried out but left after promising he'd stay. (After the '02 season he told his U. of Alabama players he'd stick with them...then left for A&M the next day or so.) But he DID have his defenders. (I wouldn't have used this if anyone other than a TexAg had created it.) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=svrQIxdaf7k The "pirate" reference=Mike Leach at Texiz TCeh. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=str3J5WQ49s "TCeh?" you ask? Well.. http://www.aggies9496.com/Images/Cla...owns/TCEH2.jpg The "Teeth" refers to Mack Brown's (Yoo Tee) yellow dentition. Also, he claps like a madman on the sidelines. The "PGA" OU Visor is Bob Stoops' (OU) favored head gear. Joe Paterno (Punt State, PA, 0-1 v. The King) kept falling asleep. Bobby Bowden (FlaSU, 0-2 v Barry, 0-1 v. Stoops.) was afraid Barry'd whip him for the third time. Tom Osborne (Children Of The Corn...Newbraskey) kept muttering "I can beat Barry. I just KNOW I can!" Boomerrrrrrrrrrr! *Before his last game v. The Sooners, having lost the previous five tilts v. Barry, DKR accused Switzer of spying on the Wronghorns practices...from a hot air balloon. Then, as the game ended in a tie, he threw up on the sidelines...on camera. "Time to retire and go hang out with Willie Nelson, Darrell." He did. |

Well, time to 'fess up.
This was done "by committee"; Two Sooner fans and a certain lady (SW Texas State, now known as Texas State, grad.) Adult beverages were involved and things kept snowballing. No apologies here, though, 'cause no harm was intended and it WAS hard work...sorta. L6 |

I dont watch saving grace that much, but I really enjoy the "wake up with the king" commercials. I still laugh every time I see those commercials.
