Same here... went out to check some spots today as well and had the same result as you did. Well its time to organize tackle, sharpen and replace hooks, clean rods, and lubricate reels... But what will I do next week? Ryan

Ugh... woke up this morning to ice on our pond. And Bama's PM'ing me complainin about cabin fever... A few more weeks of 20 degree weather and we may be ice fishing. Maybe a week or two of single digits. I'm hoping for it to ice fish, but I hate the cold. BB

Boy just think... on November 4th... Election Day... it was 74 degrees up here, we were catching bass like crazy. Then on the 6th still in the 60's... and picked up a 4.5 pounder on a spinnerbaits burning it in... now look not even 20 days later and we have ice... gotta love that OHIO weather! Ryan

I got the boat to the ramp this morning to find it was too frozen up to break through the ice. I left and tried 2 other lakes with the same result. A buddy went to the special warm water spot on Erie but you have to launch n the lake to get there and that launch was all frozen up too. Luckily, a guy I know that lives on a smaller, deep lake said it is clear so we are trying that in the morning. It's 16 degrees here right now so we'll see if it is clear when we get there. |

nice let me know how it goes . I was thinking more towards pouring some plastics , right now I just gotta put the time into finding out everything I can about it so I don't end up with a bunch of crap at the start of it . I think i'm gonna put the CNC miller at work to use to make a few molds so we'll see . Jim

You guys should check out the "How To" section at www.tackleunderground.com . The biggest reason is safety, both can cause severe burns at the least and are very dangerous. There are some videos on there that show the safety aspect of it. Let me know if I can help in any way.

Here the ice is never strong enough to stand on. But marina docks are so mine will slow down but not end. Just got a new Ice Rig. I am ready to give her a try. Here we go Crappie & Bluegill fish'n. Now all i need is some coffee & a flask of wiskey. Jim80 if your tempted to give it a try. I can point you the right way. You can be fully set up for under 30.00 to 50.00 dollars in getting started. Infishermen has a Icefishing special edition out now that will help you lead the way.
