sweet!!!
Yeah this is gonna be great, Ive always seen the lake on t.v. shows fishing.ect. but have never been on it, I'm hoping to get me arm ripped off
in fishing terms...not the limb flying through the air thing. Would be kinda funny to throw a prostedic arm in the water and tape a cheap rod to it...lol....put a little ketchup on it cya Denny |

Same as up there on line, I'll start doing some spring Ky Lake fishing reports and water clearity will be mentioned. If green punkin is a favored plastic color I would imagine the lake has its usual green to gin clear areas ,, just right huh

JB, I take it mono or fluoro would be best. My dad won't fish with fluoro, but I will be. The only rod I'll have braid on will probably be my flippin' stick, and I'll probably use a leader.

Info.
I was telling Jb at work today, I was reading that Threadfin, Gizzard Shad and crayfish are what the smallies eat alot of there in kentucky lake/barkley, but also read that the smallies favor the kentucky lake side.

Everyone will have a great time at KY lake. I would like to join in the event if that is ok with everyone and my on call schedule lets me. I live near by in Paducah and have a camper at Jonathon Creek. I have been reading the threads and it will be a great event. The county you will be in is dry. However, there is booze/beer about 25 minutes away. There is a good tackle shop (fisherman's headquarters) in drafenville and that is about 10 minutes from Big Bear. Fish will be all over the place. Some may still be shallow, some on points and ledges will be starting. I have been fishing on KY for a short period of time so I am not an expert at it by any stretch. I will be happy to post links to reports and conditions if you want me too. I will start following those sites closely in a month or so.

Thanks. I appreciate it. I have not been on this site in a long time due to a variety of reasons. I look forward to getting back on here and trying to learn a little. Big bear is a great location and is a central location on north KY lake. It is not far from the canal to get to Barkley Lake.

I appreciate it. Isn't Ridgeland a little north of Jackson? I lived in Starkville for 4 years.

Its sure is good hearing from you Everettvet, and by all means, please come and join us! Its definitely gonna be a great event!
I sure will take you up on that offer, please post as many of those fishin reports as you can. I'm no expert, and am the least bit familiar with the area, just as the most of us are, and it sure would be nice to be able to hear from a local voice. ~Woody |
