Is there not a limit in LA? You cannot legally keep a bass up here until Memorial Day weekend, and then only 5 per day. If it's legal, then what can you do? Work to change the law maybe. For me it is unethical to do that though. |

Yes we have limits. I think toledo bend is 16. It is a VERY healthy fishery and it is common for everyone going there to catch over 100 fish a day this time of year but the pictures still make me very sad.

wow..first off they said that is a typical day in spring on TB and i would take FULL advantage of catching all i could.. with that being said i would never keep more than 10.. and especially not the big girls, thats unbelievable! i saw a bunch of males but more females not only on the bench.

There is nothing legal about that image at all. I believe there is an 8 fish limit on that lake. I take a few now & then. But this is just off the wall. Even on my private lake. That is over populated. I only take 4 for keeping. I may fish all day but they get released after i take my personal limit.

That's horrible... There is no season or size limit in ohio, but you are only allowed to keep 5 a day a think. If we ever keep them for the frying pan, they're 14-16" not big ones. BB

If that is in fact illegal, please one of you LA guys forward that on to your local Conservation Officer. I remember last year in Ohio some dumba$$ got busted for poaching salmon after he posted a video of him doing it on YouTube.

I wish they would implement a maximum keeping size also, say around 18 inches would be nice.

Nope, not legal. The LA bag limit on Toledo Bend is 8/day. It said there were 8 people, so they were 26 bass over the limit. I hate to see so many fish killed. Keeping a few is fine if you want to. I don't keep any, but that is just me. Keeping that many in not just wrong, it is illegal.
