				 | 5 inch forked dinger +jighead

I fish a 5 inch forked dinger with a 1/4 oz. jighead over the tops of grassbeds that are 3 feet down. (tops of weeds are 3 feet) It has produced some pretty big bass, biggest was a 19 incher. If anyone knows how to inprove this technique tell me.

Put a 3/8 oz T.T. Flippin weight and 2/0 or 3/0 worm hook and punch the grass with the same bait. If that doesn't get through then go to a little heavier weight.

Sounds like a pretty cool rig! What jig do you use? Weedless or not?

Try switching your jig to a weedless one with a trimmed guard. this will allow you to let the bait into the weeds slightly and pull the bait out. The guard should keep it from gettin to gunked up and with the guard trimmed you still have a decent hook up ratio
