Default Ice on the deck report

Todays fishing report is simple.. cold fish / cold water = tough day.
Only two cold looking small bass and three freshly frozen crappie all day.. Oh and a few catfish too. Water temps dropped 5 degrees in the last four days..

Heck my livewell was frozen shut...

Tomorrow will be better.. repeat after me tomorrow will be better..

lol if you do that, go WAY south, like Orlando or further south.

Even here in the panhandle it never froze the lakes/ponds but it did cool them down severely where next to NOTHING has been biting since Thanksgiving. Hoping to change that this coming week.

It's still a little early. That's how I look at it anyways.

Trip today was a big goose egg on the crappie as water temps are still too cold. But we did get many yellow perch and about 18 of these odd looking green trout..

Another cold wet day of too cold water and non-committal crappie. They push the bait and nibble on the bait and never commit to a real bite.. Luckily I had on board some real fisherman who know that sometimes you just can not make the fish bite.. We got 3 crappie and a few LGMouth and a couple yellow perch all day. And we got a little wet too.
