Do you think drawdown is the same as tides?

Serously if a lake drops water does it affect the LGMouth the same as an outgoing tide?

They both lose water
The LGMouth move out to end of structure or just move offshore correct?
Oddly in tidal they bite harder and more often on outgoing... Or...
In lakes they??

I have no clue since the last time I fished a lake, I waited 6 hours for the tide to change and it never happened. Hmm 18 years ago..

Perhaps tidal fish are able to learn strategies contingent upon the reoccurring tides, whereas reservoir fish are surprised and spooked by a falling lake level because it is not a consistent pattern?

Mike one of the reservoir's we fish had a dramatic drop in it's water level due to beavers over the winter . I think about the only thing that changed was you were able to walk around more of the waters edge without being in the woods the fish were relating to pretty much the same places they were the year before, just out a bit farther .

I agree with WTL, I think that tidal fish are less freaked out when the water drops because they are most used to it.

Mike...I believe the speed of the drawdown comes into play regarding how "spooked" the fish are, in a reservoir. But it's been my observation that any drawdown causes them to go deeper & hold tighter to cover. And, for the reason that WTL pointed out.
