Dink-a-thon
So i was sittin here at work thinkin bout a local creek that runs through an urban park. Then found a youtube post about this teenager fishin in it. So I decided i would leave work early (i have such liberty with my job it aint funny)... and hit it up. Averages 1ft deep with some pools gettn to maybe 3ft at most. I went to a small parking lot in the park... walked out into the stream and began casting up stream... first cast... first fish....
Stayed for 30 minutes and caught 3 smallies and 5 LM all 8" or less... but the fact that i caught fish on EVERY OTHER CAST was freakin awesome... next time i will go a little more prepared and with more time as apparently this creek is capable of 2 pounders... what is really fun is being able to see the fish actually pck up my lure... never sight fshed like that before... caught em all on a Yum Wooly Bug in Green Pumpkin I never knew dinks could be so fun |

Love to see them rise to take a bait. First time one rose to take a swimbait I almost pulled it away from the bass. It's been the summer of the dinks around here.

Little fish is better than no fish!
I picked up some of those woolybugs from Academy when they were having their sales. In my fish mind, they look like some good eatin'. I can't wait to try em out! Were you fishing them weightless? |
