I'm planning on purchasing new cordless house phones for my home. I wanted to see if I'd get any feedback from anyone here regarding the quality of phones made by VTECH and UNIDEN. I currently have a single cordless phone made by AT&T and it has been a great phone, though it lacks any features such as voicemail and such. I want to get the kind that has a main base with 2-3 handsets. One brand I WON"T buy is Panasonic. I've gone through two of those systems and both were pure junk. I've heard VTECH and UNIDEN were pretty decent but havn't really seen anything to know for sure.

Cordless Vtech I can walk outside and talk as long as within 50 ft of the house.
Programming however isnt easy. Remember to keep at least one regular phone as if electric goes out it still works the cordless wont. |

Your right about the regular phone. We keep one for that reason.

When I still had a landline, I used both at different times.
Never had any problems with either that I can remember but in my mind, Uniden was higher quality

cordless phones suck, lol. Don't know what we've got now but they're aweful. They get a lot of static when we're in the garage, which isn't even that far from where the base of the phone is.
We had Vtechs before these and they were a bit better. Whenever I make a call, I use my cell. I get great reception all throughout our house with Verizon. By the way, the more phones you have, the harder it is to find one when it rings! ![]() BB

I bought the uniden at Costco and have been pleased with it. We got the base unit +5 My daughter enjoys the intercom feature when I am out in the gargage.
I also like the ability to check voicemail from any of the units and the vocal caller ID. They program rather easily and I have not had a static based issue. I do find that they are a little more touchy when it comes to interference. I learned that I could not use the microwave as a phone stand for the kitchen phone. Once I moved it, I haven't had any other issues with it.
