Bcr853 ?
I'm looking to retire my current t.rig worm rod its a MBR783C (GL3)..I wanna 7' or 7'1" loomis..Looking @ the BCR853 mossyback and the MBR843C (GL3) I cast 1/8oz and 3/16oz bullet weights on #12 and #14 mono (depending on where I'm fishing)..Do you think the 853 mossyback will be to stiff for this ?

I have no experience with G Loomis rods, but from what I have read that rod's wheelhouse is around the 3/8oz weights in open water with little cover. It might be too stiff for the lighter weights, but like I said, I don't have any experience with them.

JohnD, I've got no experience with any of the BCR line (GLX or Mossyback).
However, I do have a little experience with various IMX MBR rods. The MBR843C IMX may be okay for those weights, depending on what plastics you'll be throwing with them. That is assuming the BCR853 is similar in power to the MBR843. I think you'd be alright with regular 7" worms, lizards, craws, etc. If you're fishing small, straight tail worms and other light plastics, you may want to go with a 2 power rod. BB

Thanks for the advice guys , I was at the local tackle shop the other day he had a BCR854 , but not the BCR853..He has more BCR rods on order I'll just wait till they get there then ride down and make the decision.
