follow up on over heating merc.
I finally put the Champion in the shop for the over heating problem that I was asking help about in late july. The mercury boys tell me that the water pump had failed causing the over heating. Apparently the pump housing warped or flexed letting the water to leak around the pump so not enough water was making it's way to all parts of the engine. They are waiting for a pump kit so I won't know if it's fixed until next week some time, but that what they is wrong. Anyway, thanks to everyone for shooting your ideas my way. Hope I can return the favor some day. Have a great and safe holiday.
Thanks Again, Bill |
