Anyone used the Boomerang Tool Snip?

I ordered one when TT first posted this the other day, I haven't gotten it in yet though. My main hope for this tool is that it will easily cut braided knots off of line ties. I haven't found a quick, convenient way to cut off the knots. I've tried just about everything I can think of, I'm hoping this thing will do the trick.

I have had good luck with a boomerang pliers. Tough, semi-convenient and so far no challenges.

I cut the line with a Fiskar's kids scissors. Usually there's the knot left on the line tie but I find that nail clippers pull it off easily.

I have a pair of Gerber scissors that cuts braid knots pretty well. I lost them a while back and couldn't find them anywhere. Finally I found them under the passenger seat in my buddies boat. I guess they fell out of my pocket while running in rough water and ended up under there.

I am interested in hearing your opinion of the Boomerang snips.

Cool looking tool Joe, I have been using a pair of Browning fishing pliers with carbide cutters, they are a great tool, but a little heavy. That tools looks like it would be more convenient

This is what I use. Bought them at Harbor Freight for 2 or 3 bucks. Work great.

I've been messing with this tool for a few days now. I've tied countless knots with 50lb braid and 17lb mono and the Boomerang Snip makes quick work of them. The serrated jaws are very sharp and make nice clean cuts. The tool comes with a 3' retractable cord so you can access it easily and also keep it out of the way when you don't need it. It seems to be made pretty well and the jaws and wings can be locked in a closed position. Time will tell how well it holds up and how long it stays sharp. If it lasts for 2 seasons I think I will be satisfied with it, at $11.95 it's cheap enough to replace when it wears out. My initial impression is very favorable, I think this tool is going to finally put an end to my braid knot frustration.
