When I was a kid my Dad brought home a huge largemouth caught on a Jitterbug. I think that was what hooked me on fishing.

			I completely agree, Will.

My biggest bass came off a Jitterbug, in the green/black dot pattern. Here's one more vote for the Jitterbug........a week or two before I actually landed that Bass, he swam off with a perch pattern JB in his mouth

I like to launch a good hour or two before sunrise and you will ALWAYS see a Jitterbug rigged on one of my rods. I catch a ton of bass on the Jitterbug and usually they are better than average in size. I will use it until shortly after sunrise. After sunrise, I get very little response from Jitterbugs, and have better luck with other top waters. Don't know why.

Jitterbug is my favorite lure and the one I use more than any other lure. I fish topwaters all day long and have had plenty of action under sunny skies.

Unfortunately, in my opinion, the Jitterbug is made with lousy components (same ones they used in 1935) and I modify every new one, which takes a while and is a pain, but I need to do it to have maximum confidence.

I really can't think of any bait, that has stood the test of time, better than the jitterbug.

It is flat out dummy proof! P.S. The fish in my avatar is my PB. It likes Jitterbugs!

I caught a ton of fish on it as a kid. Haven't thrown one in years. Why? I have no clue. Guess I fell for the newest, latest and greatest and forget about the old standards. I need to throw one again. I guarantee most fish nowadays have never seen one.

I agree it's a great lure that a lot of people classify with vintage so they don't buy them. Newer isn't always better.

Gotta remember....some baits are timeless, and just can't be improved on. Jitterbugs are quite possibly the easiest bait ever created. 2 trebles.....cast it out....retrieve...hook set.....simplest way to fish ever

I have only reeled in a double once. This past June I had two 2 pounders hit a green/black dot Jitterbug within a second of each other. I haven't been without one since.
