Caught a Hawg!
Haven't been able to catch anything with much size this year, that is until Saturday. I started working a black/blue jig with a black/blue Strike King Rage Chunk trailer into a large laydown and this brute engulfed it. Heck of a fight ensued, in which my reel actually popped off my rod.
 Talk about controlled panic! Got the reel back on the rod while keeping the line tight, and then landed her.  Felt good to get a good one again. Scale said she was just a hair under 6 pounds. Looked and felt larger to me though.

generally does feel larger
In cover they often do feel larger as also pulling against the cover,it is a hawg.Inquiring minds do want to know rattle or no rattle,stain?

6 pounds is plenty when you're fighting and putting your rod/reel together at the same time.

Solid bass, as far as I am concerned any bass over 5 up north is a pig.
