Well Dyas, the Bucks down south usually have some nice racks, but are very small in size/weight, compared to what we get up north(kinda the opposite of Bass). You can shoot a 10 pointer down there and it field dress out at say 175 lbs. I have a 9 pointer mounted, and it field dressed out at 220 lbs. It was definately a big deer, but it's pretty typical of the size of the deer with that kinda points on it. Heck texas has some huge racks, but tiny bodied deer. So when you are so concerned about the rack, then you forget about the size. I realize they have made it this way, by strictly using the rack as a measuring tool for bucks, but they should also consider ths weight IMO also. My father shot a 8 point buck in Canada that weighed 235lbs field dressed. I wasn't with him, but it was supposedly about like trying to get an elk out of the mountains, from what I'm told. 5 miles from camp, and no 4 wheelers. Lizards
