				 | Old Canal

Saturday I am going to fish an old canal system. I fished it about 30 years ago. That was with live bait and I remember getting hung up on every cast. It was filled with pads as far as I can remember. If I am guessing right it isn't very deep (3 to 6ft.). By now the pads probably have gone dead. I figured to use buzz baits, Horny toads and stick baits. Does this sound like a good plan? Any other tips would be helpful. Oh by the way I think the water was pretty clear. About the temp. I am not sure but probably in the 70's for the water and 50's or low 60's for air temp with rain. Thanks. Bob

Bob, keep a spinnerbait and a lipless crankbait handy. If the water has cooled into the 70s they are probably starting to feed for the winter. A fast moving bait might be just what they want.

Buzz em Bob. Also PM me your address again, I want to send you one of my regular buzzbaits, instead of those I sent you before. Just a lot lighter, and I went back to them after I tried the ones I sent you. If the pads are still there, use a lizard, I promise you won't be disappointed. Lizards
