i saw a lure making kite - spinnerbait making kit too from cabelas. if youre interested in that thats a cool thing to try out. ive never done it myself, but id be interested to hear how it comes out. i have heard alot about people making thier own flys, ive got a book with detailed instructions on that (Dorling-Kindersley Encyclopedia of Fishing). even if you dont need to learn to make flies its a very good read. see if this link helps - http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/te...028&hasJS=true |

I've been making my own spinnerbaits for a few months-it is a great feeling to catch a bass on a bait you made. Take a look here for components: http://www.staminainc.com/main.html And here for the how-to's: http://tackleunderground.com/

Depends on the bait, but you can put together blade and skirt combos that are not available off the shelf. That in itself makes it worth it to me.
