On the cast, it was an experiment gone wrong. I had read the thread on spooling your reel in a single cast and began messing around with the length of line I had before casting. Trying to get the whip like action that Zooker had mentioned. I was trying to have my backwards motion bring the bait as close to the ground before tossing it.
Come to think of it I guess I can blame Zooker for all of it. LOL
