I went to my favorite spot to fish after work. I was a bit reluctant as I had been skunked the last two times I went. The evening started out the same as the last two visits. Not one single bite in an hour and a half.
![]() I was about to pack it up but decided to got to the south end of the pond to fish just a bit longer. I mean, what else am I gonna do when I get home? Another hour goes by and still not even a nibble. I finally decided to go home feeling a bit down. As I was reeling in my line and when the lure was only about 6 inches under the surface, a rather large mass came from the depths below and engulfed my plastic Zoom crawdad. I didn't get a good look at it since it happened so fast and I wasn't really paying attention. After about a minute or so, I get the bait thief back to the surface and it is huge. ![]() ![]() So in less than a week, I have caught the biggest fish in both my favorite ponds (8+ lbs and 11 lbs). I am thinking about heading to Georgia today to play the lottery. ![]() |
