BPS Monkey Bonus!

So I’m on BPS site just looking around and reading articles. And wouldn’t you know it; The CarbonLite rods are on sale again. But just the regular guides, not the micro guides. But hey, I have another CarbonBlack reel that needs a mate. This is perfect. So being the “ima just stop by real quick…” kind of guy that I am, I stopped by. So my usual buddies aren’t there that day so I strike up a conversation with a new sales rep. Well, apparently the BPS reps don’t go to the website that often because he didn’t know they were on sale. He looked them up and he said “well I’ll just be darned…they are on sale”. He must have been anxious for a sale because he immediately started giving me the sales pitch. I went with it as though I knew nothing about the rods. They were $20 off the regular guides: 6’6” $69.97, 6’9”-7’0 $79.97. Well, I picked up a 6’9” MH micro guides which was $99.99. The sales rep went back to the website and apparently looked up the 6’9” MH regular guide model for $79.97. He wrote up the web-match ticket for $79.97 and sent me on my way. Needless to say, it’s good to obey the monkey every now and again. It pays off sometimes.
