Thump!
Nothing like the bite from a flathead on a jig. Fishing a local lake this morning when this thick, healthy flattie slammed my home made jig and proceeded to put on a fight that took me back and forth across the cove and gather an audience.
She was 25 1/4 pounds and released after the picture.  I caught plenty of bass too, this 4.16 was the biggest one, on the same jig   .My buddy Jon and I fished Thursday too. I got REALLY close to upgrading my big bass contest entry with this porker smallie.
