				 | to fluke or to not fluke.

i was out on badin this morning blue sky, clear water, 5 mph winds big cold front approaching.. i started off fishing deep rip rap with an x rap and a deep rouge catching 2 short fish. second place was a deep tree and shale area caught a single keeper fish off a mini point. moved to a favored deep tree area xrap and fluke knocking out 2 keepers and a single short fish. ran to a major creek with a major stump field. rigged the fluke with a 3/16 bullet and 1 finishing nail-deep stumps- using the deep rouge thumping stumps in the 15 foot + area with the rouge i had a massive strike but no hook up.. i quickly cranked in and chunked the fluke to the same location. i poped the fluke once and a fish loaded up big time. after a 10 minute fight covering several differant sturture types. i landed a 12 pound blue catfish. after this the cold front rolled in and the bass just stopped biting . i was rigging my xheavy 7'6'' fenwick hmx rod with 20 pound calcutta ultra braid a 6/0 gamakatsu super braid hook in a 6" zoom super fluke- pearl-the x rap and rouge were caught on the same set up 12 pound ande and a coast lock swivel on a 6 foot fenwick hmg pool cue.. zooker
