Hadn't been out in 12 days, so I was hoping this hump of hydrilla I found on a cattle ranch by us, two farmers flooded a valley in 1968 to water both thier herds of cattle, and I've been fishing it since 1981...
Well the hydrilla was still there, alive and green, but the fish I found today were suspended in 12 feet of water, and I think most hit about 4-6 feet down...Tried and tried to get them hit the rogue, its cold enough, but most came on crankbaits (pnj's rattletrap, a manns minus one, silver and black, and a muskie colored rogue. Had several fish under 12 inches , and the ones I am showing arent big, but they were keepers, and made for a mighty good way to spend the afternoon.. Air temp was a whooping 65..a heat wave for ohio in late november, and water temp was 56. Didn't find any fish on flats, all over deep water, most hit on the pause and fought pretty good! Heres some pics from the ol johnboat ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
