high rock 12-16-06

air temp 43 degress. water temp 46 water was clear.as i launched at flat swamp -boy was i not alone-there was frost on the floater.i slid part of the way down the floating dock at the ramp. i seen a guy bust his butt just before me. after greeting and salutaions of some folks i knew. i ran up stream fishing my usal suspected spots i came up empty as i eased down sream i hit the wall. the jlv crank started to put it down 4 keepers on 8 cast off one small chunk of rock. i was sitting in 15 feet of water hitting the big rock wall. i ran down stream hitting another deep section with big rocks. catching this 3 pounder-boy did he have a belly-


after a bs section with a couple guys i knew -they had caught nothing - i ran back upstream to a chunk rock area in 25 feet of water and caught 2 more bass on back to back cast..every bass i caught was a keeper no shorts i was working that jlv crank very slowly down the rock.. i have yet to catch a bass that does not have both of the treble hooks in him on these cranks..kinda of a pain to lip them but i aint complaining..
