Default 60 Fish Day, a Few Pictures and a short vid...

Started off the day vertical jigging in 22 feet of water. Was ghosting a shad school that I saw on my depth finder. After an hour and a half of fishing I had boated 16 fish, and foul hooked uncounted shad.

At about 9am a friend of mine finally made it out on the lake. We jigged up a few more fish. One of which was a 6 pound peacock that spit the hook at the surface.

Once the bite slowed we decided to break out the cast net. Netted about 100 shad, threw about 70 of them back. Quite a few of them were injured and fluttering on the surface. That started a freeding frenzy in which bass were blowing the shad out of the water.

All said and done we ended up with 60+ fish. About 30 of them were caught on artificials. Most averaged 2 pounds. About 4 of them were 5 pounds. One we estimated to be 7 pounds (scale battery died).
