Im used to Gander Mountain where I live (Northwest Pennsylvania), we dont have A BPS or Cabelas even remotely near. But, Im back at college down near pittsburgh and while me and my buddy where in search of a nearest Gander Mountain south of Pittsburgh we came across a sign saying "Cabelas, 20 minites exit 10". So we figured we had to check it out, I've never been to one before. We drive into West Virginia around Wheeling, and we find it, and this place is unreal!!! I cant believe how huge it was.... the fish tank, the huge buck mounts, the resteraunt, eveything was amazing!
Well first off, I was checking out a rod I've been looking at on their website. Its the Cabela's Tournament Trail.... 7' 2-piece medium. I got there and saw it for 60 bucks and knew I couldn't come close to affording that. So I kept looking around and picked up some baits and whatnot. Then me and my friend found the bargain cave. I looked at some rods and found the exact Cabelas rod I was looking at earlier.... only for 15$!!! The only problem was the tip broke off and they put a new one on it. I had to snatch it up, Im so glad i got this, I'v been wanting a new rod for a long time now, and this one seems kinda solid. Im gonna have to retire my old eagle claw rod, but it caught me some great fish.... The last fish I ever caught with it was yesterday at a pond i just found near school.... just so happened the fish was my personal best. Weighed in about 4 1/2 pounds. Caught it with 10" powerworm with 5/0 offset hook. Put up a great fight! Heres the pic. |
