Plinkin' tin cans
Did some target shooting over the weekend. Headed out to the range with the Marlin .22 and the Mossberg 12 ga. to do a little practice shooting. I'll be doing some deer hunting next weekend so I thought I'd have a little practice and some fun too. Shot really well at 50 yards with the .22 (no scope) but at 100 yards things got ugly . Bottom dropped out and I couldn't place anything in the top half of the target.
Pulled out the 12 ga. and took a couple shots with rifled slugs at 50 yards. First was up and left about 9" at 10 o'clock . Made an adjustment and second was in the black 9/8 at 3 o'clock. Range master looked at it on the scope and said "Meat on the table." as he walked away. Hopefully I get the opportunity this weekend. |
