First Fly Fish...

So I went to a local lake and gave the old fly rod its first try. I am still getin the casting mechanics down, but it is fun. I did cathc my first fish on a fly... caught 3 small bluegill... they were fat as hell but really short. I was only there an hour as I was just stoppin in on my way home from work and wanted to get in some surface fly action. I would have liekd to spend more time as i was catchin fish pretty regularly once i stopped tangling my casts... but teh wife was expecting me for Breakfast.

I know 3 tiny gills isnt much to brag about, but I finally got the month old skunk off me...
