DSL Problem

I have had a DSL problem since we had our new house built. I thought it was just a crappy connection from the road to our house. After quite a few times of having the DSL go out , I had to call the internet service , they run threw a slew of testing , they come out and by that time it is working again and cant find any problems. Today they said maybe its my satellight reciever or alarm needing a filter. I had them run a ticket on it ( meaning friday they are coming back out ). I cant leave things alone. And I get mad pretty easy. I took the filter that plugs into the wall outlet that has my DSL cable going to the computer and the phone line going to the phone. I just unplugged the DSL line and ran it straight to the wall. The DSL light came on the modem again , meaning it works now. And HOLY CRAP this thing is faster than it has ever been....No more house phone , but who cares ??
